Ours are mostly round barrel chairs, 31 to 49.2 inches wide, turning on a pedestal. A few ride on four wheels under a metal base, which suits a desk corner more than a living room.
Seat depth is where they split. The compact barrel chairs are 20.08 to 20.47 inches deep for upright sitting. At 49.2 inches, the oversized round chair has a seat 28.3 deep that you can pull your legs into, with a storage ottoman to match. Seats sit low at 14.6 to 18.5 inches. Chenille is the most common cover, with boucle, velvet and faux leather on single pieces.
