Split backs that fold flat

A futon is the simplest sleeper we make, a single long cushion with a back that folds down level with it. At 68 to 75.39 inches wide and only 29.33 to 33.26 inches deep, a futon fits a study, a dorm room or the end of a narrow living room. On several, the armrests come off to widen the bed. The back locks at points between upright and flat, so you can sit, lean or sleep.
Many futons wear a linen blend and stand on solid wood legs, with corduroy and velvet versions too. Some hide a cup holder in the middle of the back that pulls out when you want it and pushes away again before you lay the back flat. On several, a compartment in the base holds the legs and hardware, which helps when the futon moves with you to a new place.

Questions about ERYE futons
Closed, our futons take 68 to 75.39 inches of wall and 29.33 to 33.26 inches of floor. Opened, the seat and the back lie side by side, so plan for roughly twice that depth when you make up the bed, and keep the door swing clear.
Unscrew the legs and put them, with the hardware, in the compartment in the base on the models that have one. Fold the back flat and carry the futon as one long piece, tipped on its side through doorways. On a stair, measure the headroom at the turn before you start up.
Yes, on several models. The back sets in more than one position, three on some of them, so you can sit upright, lean back for a film or lower it flat for sleep. Hidden cup holders in the back of some models pull out for the film and slide away before you lower it.
