    ERYE sofas and loveseats

Our sofas and loveseats are framed pieces in a few clear styles. The Chesterfields have deep button tufting on the arms and back, rolled arms and, on several, a row of nailheads in gold or bronze. Curved sofas bend the back into an arc, often in boucle. The rest are clean modern sofas on solid wood or gold-toned metal legs, and a few ship with their seat cushions vacuum-packed.

Our loveseats run 51 to 82 inches wide and seat two, a size that suits a reading corner or the wall across from a bed. Full sofas mostly run 84 to 93.6 inches, with a few past 101. Seat depths stay moderate at 20.5 to 24.75 inches, and seat heights sit between 16.9 and 19.29, so you sit more upright than on a cloud couch.

Velvet is the most common cover on these pieces, followed by boucle, chenille, faux leather on several Chesterfields, and a linen blend. When you are furnishing a whole room at once, look at the sofa sets, which put two or three pieces in the same cover so they match on the day they arrive. That saves you from ordering twice and hoping the dye lots agree.

Measure the depth of a sofa as well as its width, since depth is what has to pass the door when the frame goes through on its end. Every piece in the ERYE catalog gives both numbers. If you already know the style you want, go straight to the Chesterfield sofas or the curved sofas and compare widths there.

Questions about ERYE sofas and loveseats

Measure the wall, then leave space for an end table on each side. If what remains is under 82 inches, a loveseat fits, since ours run 51 to 82 inches. Past that, a full sofa at 84 inches or more gives a third person a seat, or lets one person stretch out.

Look at the arms. A Chesterfield rolls them outward and covers them with deep button tufting, which runs across the back as well. Several of ours add a line of nailheads along the front of the arm and stand on turned or curved wood legs, with velvet and faux leather the usual covers.

Matching pieces in one cover. Some sets pair two loveseats with toss pillows, and others join three armless sections that you run as one long sofa or split around a coffee table. Check the width of each piece, not only the set, when you plan the layout.

Choose length and depth together. A sofa of 88.5 inches or more leaves room to lie along the seat, and a seat of 25.5 inches or deeper lets you curl up without hanging off the edge. The curved boucle sofas and the longer modern sofas are the ones to compare.
