About this piece
Low and round, this beige boucle barrel chair stands 27.2 inches tall on a footprint of 34.6 by 35 inches, small enough for an apartment corner. The seat is 23.62 inches deep and 16.53 high, and a wood frame on a metal base carries 330 pounds. A blue toss pillow sets off the pale fabric.
The seat turns 360 degrees. Unlike our boneless chairs, this one keeps a traditional wooden frame, and the only assembly is fitting the turntable underneath. With a back only 13.77 inches above the seat, it holds your lower back and leaves your shoulders free, which makes it a chair for conversation more than for a long nap.
