ERYE Extendable Dining Table

Most weeknights this table stays a 42-inch circle, small enough for a kitchen corner. When family comes over, a 12-inch butterfly leaf unfolds from under the top and turns the circle into a 54-inch oval that seats six. The oak veneer top comes in natural wood wash or espresso.

To open it, pull the halves apart, lift the folded leaf from beneath, spread it flat and close the halves on it. The leaf lives inside the table between dinners, so nothing waits in a closet. A single X-shaped base carries the top, which leaves no corner legs for your knees to find. Measure the room for the 54-inch oval, and plan on two people for assembly.
